What were all about
I was inspired to create Xavier's recycling club when I realized that it was not the fault of Xavier students that led our campus to collect so much trash. It is, at its core, a lack of resources that Xavier possessed. Since Xavier is so young in comparison to other Jesuit Private schools in California, we do not yet have the resources start and sustain such a substantial project.
Living in the desert presents unique challenges regarding resources and sustainability. Due to the scarcity of water and other essential resources, it is crucial to prioritize recycling to conserve materials and reduce waste. Recycling in the desert helps minimize the strain on already limited resources and contributes to the overall sustainability of the environment
With the help of teachers, faculty, staff, and fellow students, Xavier has been able to cultivate an appropiate enviornment to foster sustainable practices that help teach valuable lessons nessasary to keeping our valley thriving and beautiful.
